US company with offices in Jerusalem seeks QA Tester for remote position.
Key Responsibilities
Gain full understanding of business rules and functional objectives of scheduled code changes
Write and keep up-to-date detailed plans that test and verify implemented business rules and functional objectives, and validation plans that verify deployed changes
Communicate and collaborate closely with others, throughout all phases of development, especially pertaining to testing activities: plan reviews and approvals, scheduling, execution
Ensure testing activities remain in sync with prioritized development schedules
Enhance testing procedures and capabilities in order to minimize chances that bugs will be deployed to production
Follow internal practices, agile methodologies and tracking, and administrative procedures
Basic Qualifications
At least 2 years’ solid and successful working history testing Microsoft Windows applications
Able to understand complex business rules and functional objectives
Proficient a writing clear and precise test plans
Proficient at reaching out to and communicating in English with others (spoken and written)
Self-driven, dedicated, naturally take ownership of your work
Excel, with minimum supervision, both independently and collaborating with others
Readily adapt and refocus in response to changing priorities
Value-Added Qualifications
Academic degree or certification in Software Testing, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
Substantial experience testing non-GUI and fairly complex processes that make heavy use of SQL Server
Experience testing with Selenium
Experience working in corporate and/or financial environments
Work Environment
Once the Corona virus is no longer a problem, those within commuting distance will be required to work from our Jerusalem office two days a week
Until then, you will have the discretion of working from the office (health regulations permitting) or from home
We are part of a fairly large NASDAQ 500 American Financial Corporation, setting the tone of our working environment
Frequent collaboration with others located in the EST time zone necessitates availability during EST morning work hours:
Required: 3 – 4 PM daily for standups / demos
Occasional additional meetings during US work hours
