TPS News Agency is seeking for an experienced news editor, with a high understanding of the world of international media. The Editor-in-Chief will direct the current content policy of the agency. This includes execution and adaptation to the changing world of news. The Editor-in-Chief will manage a team of writers and maintain the highest quality of materials.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Editing articles for accuracy, grammar, and style.
- Evaluating content and making decisions on appropriateness for the publication.
- Contributing to the recruiting and hiring process.
- Developing the success of the news agency.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in international journalism
- Mother tongue English, good Hebrew
- Commitment to the organisational core values: Professional journalism and Zionism.
- Deep knowledge in Israel’s current news
- Good interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Good decision-making skills
- Strong leadership skills
- 5 year experience of managing teams
- Familiarity with WordPress, Microsoft office
- Availability to work occasionally during irregular hours as news breaks
