Job Description:

The Resource and Partnership Development Division at Yad Vashem is responsible for creating and strengthening communities of supporters and raising funds for the ongoing operations and development of Yad Vashem. Yad Vashem has an agreement with a "Friends" foundation in the USA, which is responsible for leading fundraising efforts in the United States and providing vital support for Yad Vashem. The USA Department in the Resource and Partnership Development Division at Yad Vashem is responsible for supporting the fundraising activities of the foundation in the USA, leading meetings and events with donors during their visits to Yad Vashem, and managing the relationships with the foundation in the USA.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the ongoing relationship with the professional team of the foundation in the USA.
  • Collaborating on the preparation of the annual and multi-year fundraising plan for the USA.
  • Partnering with the foundation in managing relations with current donors and planning the expansion of the donor base.
  • Managing a unified database of supporters and donations from the USA, as part of the division’s CRM system, in coordination with the foundation.
  • Providing a comprehensive range of support services to the foundation in the USA: submitting project proposals and progress reports, coordinating meetings and presentations with donors, sending content and marketing materials, etc.
  • Approving and overseeing all contracts, agreements, and bequests with donors and supporters from the USA.
  • Submitting requests for support from foundations in the USA.
  • Responsibility for hosting donors and leading donor visits to Yad Vashem, in collaboration with the division's visits unit: identifying potential donors among visitors to Yad Vashem, handling visits initiated by donors or the foundation, coordinating follow-up actions with the foundation, etc.
  • Initiating and organizing ceremonies and special events at Yad Vashem for donors from the USA.
  • Managing the relationship between the foundation and the various departments at Yad Vashem: the division’s headquarters, content department, and Yad Vashem's administration.
  • Monitoring the foundation’s activities and the use of Yad Vashem’s name by the foundation.
  • Managing and training the department’s team.
  • Leading organizational processes and optimizing work processes within the department, while guiding the department team and providing the tools they need to complete their tasks.
  • Writing annual and periodic activity reports in collaboration with the foundation.
  • Managing the department’s budget and ensuring its proper execution.
  • Participating in division-wide tasks and projects as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Native-level English, Hebrew proficiency
  • Excellent English writing and editing skills
  • Proven experience of at least 5 years in managing a team and handling complex tasks
  • Multitasking experience
  • Proven professional experience in the world of American philanthropy
  • In-depth familiarity with the Jewish community in the USA in all its forms
  • Holocaust history knowledge – an advantage
  • Familiarity with advanced CRM systems for managing donor relations – a significant advantage
  • Academic background and professional training in resource development, and/or marketing and sales – an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and an ability to collaborate with colleagues
  • Organizational and management skills and the ability to lead a team as well as complex organizational and optimization processes
  • An ability to plan tasks, set priorities, and manage time efficiently
  • Creative and open-minded thinking
  • Public speaking and service-oriented abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
