We are looking for a dynamic, experienced Sales Team Manager to lead our sales team and expand our presence within the education sector, particularly targeting schools and educational institutions.

Job Summary: The Sales Team Manager will lead and manage a remote team of sales professionals, driving sales growth in the education sector. This role requires an experienced leader with a deep understanding of selling to schools, educators, and institutions, as well as a passion for educational technology. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in educational sales, a strategic mindset, and the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead, motivate, and manage a remote sales team, ensuring that individual and team sales goals are met and exceeded. Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and support to ensure the success of each team member.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies to expand SelfCAD's presence in schools and educational institutions. Identify key growth opportunities within the education sector.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in schools, school districts, and educational organizations. Engage with educators to understand their needs and present SelfCAD’s value proposition.
  • Sales Performance & Reporting: Monitor and track sales activities, ensuring the team meets KPIs and sales targets. Prepare regular reports on team performance, sales forecasts, and market trends for senior leadership.
  • Collaboration with Marketing & Product Teams: Work closely with marketing and product teams to align sales efforts with promotional campaigns and product offerings that resonate with the educational market.
  • Customer Engagement: Lead outreach and communication efforts with schools, ensuring a deep understanding of how SelfCAD can enhance STEM and design education in classrooms.
  • Training & Development: Provide training and support to the sales team to ensure they have the tools, resources, and knowledge to effectively sell to schools and educational institutions. Stay current with educational trends and technology needs.
  • Customer Feedback & Advocacy: Gather feedback from schools and educators to provide insights that inform product development and improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or related field (preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in a sales leadership role, with at least 2 years focused on selling to educational institutions (K-12, colleges, universities).
  • Proven track record of success in education sales, with strong relationships and knowledge of the education sector.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and team management skills, with the ability to drive sales performance in a remote environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect and build rapport with school administrators, educators, and decision-makers.
  • Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and use insights to adjust sales strategies.
  • Knowledge of the challenges and opportunities within the education sector, particularly in technology adoption in schools.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (such as Salesforce) and remote team management tools (e.g., Slack, Zoom, Trello).
  • A passion for education and technology and a strong belief in SelfCAD’s mission to enhance learning through 3D design.
