Please come to hear the personal story of defrauded investor in an electric bike/lithium-ion battery stock scam, Joel Caplan American-Israeli. My 9 year saga came to an end in December of 2019 when our New York Attorney gave up after trying to negotiate with the Chinese since 2015 when the Court Case was won.
Astonishingly, there were over 200 China-based companies that also got deregistered by the SEC. Activist investors, after years of hard work, obtained about 25 total court-appointed receiverships. None of which could be collected on equitably. Most investors already knew that US court judgements are not enforceable in China and never bothered to seek justice.
As the global community asks the proverbial question . . . .'What China knew and when did they know it??? and as we cope and grieve the tragic loss of life, we must also become aware of where our investment dollars are going and discuss this with our families our children, our parents and grandparents.
Also, China simply must choose between becoming honest and transparent and becoming true global partners with other democracies or to continue on the very risky path that they have recently been on with the lifelong appointment of President Xi.
My own story is a cautionary tale and I will continue to tell it from the hills of Jerusalem until Justice for myself and for others is achieved and to protect others from being defrauded in China. as I was.
