Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to manage all aspects of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) billing, including Medicaid, Managed Care, and Private Insurance. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in the Accounts Receivable system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and complete billing and reimbursement processes in compliance with state-specific guidelines.
- Collaborate with medical staff to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies.
- Post payments to the Accounts Receivable system (experience with CollaborateMD is a plus but not required).
- Conduct audits to ensure timely follow-up on missed or unpaid claims.
- Handle claim submissions, payment posting, and denial management.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of patient information.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to update patient records.
- Perform additional related duties as needed.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in medical billing.
- Knowledge of medical billing processes and insurance guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding assignments.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with medical staff.
Remote (within Israel)
30-40 hours per week, with at least 2-3 hours overlapping U.S. time
