The Director of Year Course is a full-time position responsible for the overall management of Year Course. Matters of safety, health and security are the top priority for the YC Director and are the first consideration in all aspects of operation of the program. The Year Course Director is responsible for forming the rationale and articulating the goals and values of the program pursuant to the approval of Young Judaea Israel Amuta (YJI) management and seeing that they are executed through sound methods. The Director integrates all the components of Year Course into a total, coherent, educational unit. The Year Course Director divides their time mostly between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and reports to the Deputy Director and Executive Director of YJI.
Required Qualifications:
English – fluent. Mother tongue level. Hebrew – fluent
8+ years of management experience with a proven track record of success, innovation and growth within the field
Marketing experience
Understanding of and experience with American Jewry
Deep connection and knowledge of Israel and YJ ideology
Youth Movement background
An exceptional communicator with excellent written and oral skills in Hebrew and English
Bachelor’s degree (MA or above preferable)
Strong skills in working with committees, boards, community and staff
Strong budgetary knowledge and ability to plan and manage large budgets
Energetic, strong organization skills, team player, a passionate leader with excellent interpersonal, communication, and supervisory skills
Ability to work long hours including evenings and weekends
Current driver’s license
Computer savvy
