Army Advisor
Position Summary:
This is a Part Time Position Geared for Newly Released Lone Soldiers
15-20 hours
The Base is currently looking for an advisor to work with pre-draft and drafted lone
soldiers by providing advice and guidance to all lone soldiers prior to their draft all the
way until they exit their service. The advisor will work closely with the post service
coordinator and will be trained and supervised by the senior advisor.
The advisor must be well versed in the policies and protocols of the IDF. Be aware of all
benefits and entitlements granted to a lone soldier and advocate on the soldiers behalf if
and when needed. Will assist in getting the lone soldier any aid which may include
counseling, money management, completing forms and applications and help with
transitioning out of the army into civilian life.
The advisor will need to be aware of the military offices and government agencies (as
well as private organizations) that help a lone soldier before, during and after their
service.
Responsibilities Include:
● First line of advising
● Helping with bureaucracy
● Knowing soldiers rights and benefits
● Engaging with lone soldiers
● Engaging with lone soldier parents
● Corresponding with lone soldiers via email, phone, zoom
● Mentoring and guidance
● Reporting to senior advisor only a weekly basis
● Attending Thursday night (weekly major event), Friday morning breakfast and if
needed Shabbat meal
● Attend weekly staff meetings
