Our company is revolutionizing the independent retail industry by providing them with cost-effective, state of the art point of sale systems and complementary services such as apps for store management and consumer ordering, web store front for the store, and loyalty programs allowing small retailers to more effectively compete with the larger store chains and online merchants. We are deployed in well over 18 thousand stores across the US at this time.
Our development team is in search of a candidate to contribute and lead a small team to enhance and add to our suite of products, services and features with a can-do attitude, who thrives in a fast-paced work environment and is highly motivated to deliver software to production.
What You Will Be Doing
- Leading a small team of developers
- Working closely with product managers on feature design
- Proposing and working with others on solution architectures
- Assigning tech requirements to team members
- Monitoring and owning deliverables
- Hands on development (50% or more)
- Code reviews when needed
- Working on projects such as enhancing existing, and creating new, frontend and backend subsystems for our internal and customer-facing portals, apps and Linux-based point of sale system, ranging from eCommerce, EDI and a CRM for store owners.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4-6 years of full-stack development
- 2+ years Team Lead experience
- Experience prioritizing roadmap projects while supporting previously deployed projects
- Vue.js, calling and implementing APIs, HTML 3
- PHP or node.js for backend development
- SQL databases (preference PostgreSQL)
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills including documenting data flow
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience with github, Jira, node.js, Lubuntu
- Experience with angular.js
- Experience with both PHP & node.js
- Working knowledge of Linux system administration
- Working knowledge of AWS services
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
