Position: Development Coordinator/Grant writer (half-time).

Based: Israel

Report to: Development Director

About: Brothers for Life (BFL) (www.brothersforlife.com) is a unique and expanding non-profit, created and run by injured Israeli combat soldiers, whose mission is to empower recently injured soldiers to reclaim their lives, fulfill their dreams, and continue to serve and inspire the Jewish People.

BFL has an incredible culture and mission. We are the only organization in Israel or elsewhere that is completely run by the injured soldiers themselves. Starting at the hospital bed, we help injured soldiers through every stage of their return to life. We also inspire Jewish People around the world to be more connected to Israel and the Jewish People. We are currently helping over 1,200 injured soldiers in Israel and have BFL communities around the world including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, South Africa, Mexico, and Hong Kong.

Position: BFL is looking for a Development Coordinator to help us implement our development strategy and support our BFL fundraising strategy in Israel. This position requires experience in grant writing and reporting as well as project management and facility with CRM software similar to Razors Edge.

Candidates must be dedicated to the Brothers for Life mission. She or he must be able to support development team members, and have experience in Israel grant writing and reporting.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Israel development team to ensure the achievement of fundraising goals.
  • Writing grants and proposals as well as reports.
  • Networking with the Israel ecosystem of foundation professionals
  • Cooperation with other BFL departments in the organization and an active member in BFL activities.
  • Producing reports from our CRM software
  • Some event planning.

Skills and Characteristics:

Applicants should have the following skills and characteristics:

· Professional fundraising experience in Israel.

· Fluent English speaker.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively.

· Flexibility in schedule.

· A strong commitment to BFL’s mission.
