E-commerce management company based in the US is looking to hire a Director of Public Relations to create content and manage social media platforms.
The role of the Director of PR will include the following tasks:
- Coordinate all public relations activities.
- Create and distribute Press Release announcements.
- Arrange for Podcast interviews.
- Attempt high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media.
- Direct social media to engage audiences across traditional and new media.
- Cultivate new contacts within business and industry media.
- Manage media inquiries and interview requests.
- Weekly updates on: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, company websites, email releases to clients, etc.
- Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis.
- Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness.
- Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.
- Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a quarterly basis.
Candidate must have the following skills:
- Relevant experience in the field of PR and social media.
- Full understanding of public relations and social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
- Self-motivated.
- Have a good personality, i.e. comfortable talking to people.
- Comfortable appearing publicly, in pictures and videos.
- Ability to conceive topics for engaging articles and videos.
- Possess good writing and editing skills.
- Speak English clearly and professionally.
- Technically savvy.
- Availability to be on phone during US working hours.
The position will begin at 20-30 hours/week with opportunity for growth.
Hourly salary commensurate with ability and experience.
