The Commercial Insurance Account Executive sells new accounts and renews existing accounts aligning with corporate and individual goals. This role will build and maintain relationships with clients, prospects, the service team, and insurance company partners, identifying and closing on sales prospects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales account strategies and plans for assigned accounts and new business opportunities
- Prepare and present detailed proposals in alignment with company policies for prospective or renewing clients in detail.
- Develop prospects by involvement with industry affiliations; attend seminars and events; build and maintain contacts; attend networking events and pursue referrals
- Work to meet or exceed revenue targets and other key account objectives
- Introduce new offers to advance offerings to existing clients.
- Collect necessary documents and applications when finalizing the sale and provide terms of sales for internal stakeholders to facilitate execution and measurement of product sold
- Prepare properly completed certificates of insurance.
- Complete client change requests, checks endorsements, cancellation endorsements and audits for accuracy.
- Prepare for renewal to include assessment of loss runs and loss summaries for client presentation.
- Develops information and recommendations for prospective accounts, presents proposals and adheres to firm policies and procedures for writing a new account.
- Maintain knowledge of the commercial insurance industry and underwriting criteria
Requirements for this position:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of Commercial Insurance experience with a carrier, broker, MGA or MGU
- 1+ years of Commercial Insurance customer service or sales required
Work from home, full time, US Hours with slight flexibility
