For our established product team, we are looking for an exceptional R&D Team Leader to help take an MVP to market and shape the next generation of the Point-of-Sale systems.
You will lead development, delivery, technology, research, software design, and a full end-to-end process–from concepts and prototypes to production release.

Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow Android (option to a multi-disciplinary team in the future) engineering team
- Work in a lean, delivery oriented and agile start-up-like product team
- Work hand in hand with product manager to deliver amazing products
- Responsible for the full development process ownership: technical designs, architecture, implementation, and deployments of the POS
- Delegating and overseeing work and assignments in an efficient way to team members
- Build and delivery management including Jira, Firebase and Playstore support
- Lead technical sprint planning along side the product manager
- Make direct technical contributions as well as provide guidance and direction to team members
- Design and help develop a modular, flexible, scalable, secure, reliable, and quality POS solution that delivers business value through superior user experience.
- Be responsible for setting the technical direction as well as for planning deliverables and
- milestones.
- Work closely with the other teams to optimize system architecture and project efficiency
- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and coding habits
Requirements:
- B.A\BSc in computer science of known university\college or equivalent experience
- Hands-on experience in Android mobile app architecture, flow, design, implementation, and release including proficiency in Java and Kotlin languages to write clear, readable, and maintainable code
- Experience leading a team as both a deep technical leader and a thoughtful people manager.
- Strong track record of leading and managing the delivery of software development projects, meeting key milestones, and overcoming challenges
- 3 years of experience leading an engineering team
- 5 years of experience developing android apps in Kotlin
- Experience with large-scale software development including software maintenance, resolving significant technical issues as well as providing direction for new software technology/process development activities to meet specific product goals.
- Strong knowledge of system architecture, best practices, and design patterns
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent English skills, both verbal and written
Nice to have:
- M.Sc in computer science
- Experience with POS systems
- VueJS experience building mobile enabled solutions
- Experience with the design and development of highly available services and infrastructure with solid knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
