Biden directs US military to help Israel shoot down Iranian missiles

“This is a moment of choosing for the free world regarding Iran," Sen. Lindsey Graham stated. "I would urge the Biden Administration to coordinate an overwhelming response with Israel."

U.S. President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are monitoring the Iranian missile attack on Israel, launched in full force on Tuesday, from the White House situation room, the press pool reports.

Biden has directed the U.S. military to assist in Israel's defense and to shoot down Iranian missiles that are targeting Israel.

The White House has not yet issued a statement about the attack. A senior White House official told JNS earlier that a direct Iranian attack on Israel would carry “severe consequences” for the Islamic Republic.

Iran launched more than 100 ballistic missiles at Israel earlier on Tuesday. Magen David Adom, Israel’s Red Cross affiliate, wrote that so far there were “no reports of injuries” from the attack except “minor injuries from shrapnel or falls on the way to safe areas.”

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) called on the Biden administration to respond to the attack by destroying Iran’s oil refineries.

“This is a moment of choosing for the free world regarding Iran,” he stated. “The ayatollah and Iranian regime are religious Nazis who want to destroy the state of Israel.”

“This missile attack against Israel should be the breaking point, and I would urge the Biden administration to coordinate an overwhelming response with Israel, starting with Iran’s ability to refine oil,” he added. “These oil refineries need to be hit and hit hard because that is the source of cash for the regime to perpetrate their terror.”
