The animals living in the Jerusalem hills will be silent when the forests and natural springs will be replaced with high-rise apartment buildings.
See this article in The Jerusalem Post -- written by my favorite 16 year old. She's involved in a project sponsored by the Society for the Protection of Nature to have the Jerusalem Hills declared a National Park.
You can help Odelya and hundreds of other activists save the Hills of Jerusalem by coming to a protest on Thursday, June 25 at 3:30 p.m., in Givat Shaul. For more information: https://www.teva.org.il/Save_lavan.
The protest will be held outside of the subcommittee meeting which will decide on an appeal filed against the "White Ridge" (Reches Lavan) plan. This plan will result in the near fatal wounding of the unique nature of the Jerusalem Mountains and the fabric of life of the city's inhabitants. The program is a starting shot for aggressive construction throughout the area.
Can't make the protest? Send an email here and sign a petition here.
