Job description: The bookkeeper will be responsible for the company’s finances including maintaining financial records, managing A/R and A/P, processing bank and payroll payments, and other bookkeeping and financial administration tasks.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years’ experience and certification as a bookkeeper
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Meticulously organized with an excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload
- Technically savvy and experienced at working with accounting software (preferably Xero) and Excel
- Written and conversational English, and conversational Hebrew with the ability to read basic invoices in Hebrew
Responsibilities:
- Review and issue/ process multi-currency A/R and A/P invoices and enter into Xero accounting software
- Reconciliation of A/R and A/P items within Xero
- Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing vendor agreements, corresponding with vendors where required, and processing payments
- Perform account receivable functions including tracking and invoicing for deposit and balance payments.
- Manage correspondence with clients and agents regarding any payment queries
- Process weekly payments in several bank accounts (local and foreign)
- Responsibility over company credit cards – recording, payments, and reconciliations
- Responsible for intercompany invoices, payments and reconciliation
- Travel reports and employee reimbursements management
- Payroll payment processing in Israel and abroad
- Preparation of financial and administrative reports as needed
- Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
- Review of VAT reimbursements
- Assist senior management and external accountants in preparing year-end closing and documentation
