Primary Deputy Head of Elementary

PRIMARY DEPUTY HEAD TEACHER

We are searching for a Primary/Elementary School Deputy Head Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future development of our school. You will have some teaching responsibility, along with key areas of accountability, as well as collective responsibility with other senior leaders for maintaining high standards in behaviour, learning and Christian values.

AISJ is a successful and popular International school in the heart of Jerusalem, catering for students aged 2 to 18. Our Early Years Foundation Stage and Primary Classes follow the English National Curriculum.

Approximately 75% of our students come from the international community based in Jerusalem, and the remaining 25% are local students. The Elementary School is a member of COBIS and AoBSO.

The successful candidate will:

• Be an outstanding teacher who is able to model best practice
• Ideally have experience in more than one Key Stage
• Have proven leadership skills and recent experience of school improvement
• Have good knowledge of the English Curriculum and how to provide rich learning experiences
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and maintains positive working relationships with colleagues, children and parents
• Wil have experience of leading teams effectively
• Be committed to the safeguarding, welfare and well-being of children and staff
• Be a committed Christian who is able to support the development of the Christian ethos of our school

This is a full time position starting August 2023.
