Shani and Alon, both avid musical theater fans from a very young age, met in a production of The Music Man exactly ten years ago (as Marian the Librarian, and the bass of the Chutzpah! barbershop quartet). Since then, the love affair has only deepened, both on and off the stage. They have been performing nonstop ever since, both separately and together, and in 2018 they got married in their own musical theater inspired wedding. Alon and Shani have starred as romantic leads and comic adversaries, and were most recently seen as Radames and Aida in Elton John's Aida.

Alon and Shani are excited to be performing some famous Broadway classics, along with other lesser known gems.

Maayan Blevis, 28, is a Canadian Israeli singer-songwriter, living in Jerusalem. Her music combines influences of jazz, folk and classic rock and texts that lace the everyday with the whimsical and romantic.

Maayan is the lead singer and writer of Maybe Raincoat, her indie rock band that has released it's first album earlier this year.

She has performed with bandmate Guy Yaron at the folk club several times over their years living in Jerusalem. Now Guy has moved to Germany and Maayan will be performing new songs from her repertoire with guitarist Yaniv Hayun

Brenda Needle - One Foot on the Balcony… Brenda Needle, a native of New Jersey, grew up in a music loving family, where family occasions were cause for singing sessions, the Clancy Brothers were playing in the background at Thanksgiving and a favored Bat Mitzvah gift was a Steeleye Span album. This is her second ever presentation at the Jerusalem Folk Club. Accompanied by Mark Clarfield (Unstrung Heroes), this evening will feature traditional and newer versions of songs of Ireland and Old England. Of those who immigrate and those who miss home and those who love and those who live not where they love…
