Small Maryland-based and cloud-based CPA firm seeks a full-time experienced (minimum 3 years) tax accountant (CPA designation a plus, but not a must) who is ready to roll up their sleeves and help the firm grow.
Qualities of the candidate include, but are not limited to:
1. Highly communicative (oral and written)
2. Pleasant demeanor
3. Experienced in all facets of accounting (GAAP accounting and US tax)
4. Experience with working in a small accounting firm
5. Highly ethical
6. Team player
Job tasks include, but are not limited to:
1. Preparing business (Forms 1120, 1120S, 1065, 990) and personal (Form 1040) tax returns
2. Helping to train and work with lower staff on best practices
3. Communicating well with all levels and individuals within the firm
4. Communicating well with clients regarding forms and documents needed to prepare work, as well as answering client questions relevant to the work or to their business in general
5. A passion for working, contributing and growing personally
