Independent Senior Product Manager (5+ years experience)
Our RBS-based fintech scaleup is seeking a Senior Product Manager with significant experience in software product management, particularly in product rebuilds and redesigns, to lead the redevelopment of our internal admin platform. This role will be project-based, with a focus on ensuring the new platform not only meets the needs of our operations team but also significantly improves usability through thoughtful UI/UX design and a clear product roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the rebuild and redesign of our internal admin platform, ensuring that all necessary functionality is retained and improved.
- Develop a product roadmap that goes beyond the MVP, focusing on future scalability and functionality.
- Work with operations team members, company leadership, designers and engineers to overhaul the platform’s UI/UX, improving user workflows, reducing complexity, and enhancing overall efficiency.
- Facilitate ongoing communication between cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Provide regular (daily/weekly) status updates of project deliverables to stakeholders
- Prioritize features and manage the product backlog, ensuring the most impactful features are delivered first.
- Conduct user research, gather feedback, and validate product decisions to ensure they meet the real needs of the end-users.
- Implement best practices in product management, from discovery to delivery, ensuring high-quality outputs that drive user satisfaction and business value.
- Interface between business and technical stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager in software companies.
- Proven experience in product rebuilds and redesigns, especially for internal tools or operations platforms.
- Strong experience with UI/UX improvements, with a demonstrated ability to enhance user experiences.
- Ability to develop and manage a product roadmap, going beyond MVP to future-proof the platform.
- Experience collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and operations.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to translate user needs into actionable product features.
- Experience communicating project updates in daily/weekly standups, as well as, creating team facing dashboards to monitor progress
- Strong understanding of agile development methodologies.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience working as a fractional/freelance PM is a significant plus.
- Background in operations-focused products, payroll systems, or admin tools.
- Experience with asynchronous communication to ensure all project stakeholders are continuously updated and engaged within minimal synchronous meetings.
