Tefilah.org and Torah in Motion are pleased to present: Tefilot in the Talmud: Comparisons Between the Talmud Bavli and Yerushalmi by Dr. Beni Gesundheit.
This four-part series will take place via Zoom on Mondays at 1pm EDT / 8pm Israel time, starting August 28. This course presents texts from the Siddur and Machzor and examines the sources from the Talmud Bavli and Yerushalmi, providing a glimpse into the spiritual life in Eretz Yisrael and the Babylonian exile, and offering lessons for contemporary Jewish identity.
Join us this Monday, August 28 for the first shiur on the topic of “Rav Avraham Yitzchak Kook: Philosophical Differences between the Talmud Bavli and Yerushalmi.”
The shiurim are open to the public - all are welcome! The classes are free, but registration is required.
Each shiur is a stand-alone lecture.
User-friendly handouts will be posted on the shiur page.
Recordings will also be posted a few days after each shiur.

About the lecturer: Dr. Beni Gesundheit is an alumnus of Yeshivat Har Etzion who gives lectures on Torah content at various colleges and communities around Israel. Dr. Gesundheit is also a pediatrician in the field of oncology and research, with a PHD in medical ethics.
