Shivat Zion, a social startup that assists Olim from Western Europe and Latin America in their Aliyah and Klita process, is looking for an outstanding individual to assist Olim by phone and through other communication channels in German and Spanish. If you are a sympathetic and empathic person who really cares about Olim, can communicate clearly, and reassure Olim in simple, complex, or emergency situations, and speak native German or both a native German and Spanish, then we might have a perfect opportunity for you!
The position will be partially remote and partially in the office in Efrat. The candidate will work initially as a freelancer and eventually possibly as an employee as the organization grows. An Osek Patur/Osek Murshe is required (we can help set this up).
The position will start off with 20-25 hours weekly. Preference will be given to candidates living in the Gush Etzion or Jerusalem area. We offer a competitive salary that reflects the current market.
Duties include:
- Customer Care for Olim from German-speaking countries (and Latin America i.a.)
- Creating/translating content to German (and Spanish i.a.)
- Assisting Olim in their Aliyah and Klita process (by phone/(video)conference or written)
- Assisting with the administrative duties and back-office
- Contact with other Israeli NGO’s, (semi-) Governmental offices and contact people across Europe
Must Haves:
- either: Native German (Standard-hochdeutsch)
or Native German (Standard-hochdeutsch) and Native Spanish (Castellano)
- Work proficiency in English and Hebrew
- Be professional, honest, kind and has the willingness to help people
- Pro-Active solo-worker as well as a real team-player.
- Basic organizational and administrative skills to enable an orderly way of working, meeting deadlines
Nice to haves (pre):
- Experience with CRM systems (especially Salesforce), AI and Knowledge Base tools
- Experience in an Aliyah/Klita organization
