Aish is a dynamic organization based primarily in the Old City, Jerusalem, serving 800 meals daily. We are looking for a Catering Manager to lead a team of kitchen staff to ensure they deliver high quality catering and excellent customer service. Responsibilities include menu planning & inventory, procedures & protocols and budgets. To be successful in this role, you should have work experience in catering or hospitality, solid organizational abilities and leadership skills. Reports to the Director of Operations, 45 hours per week
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Menus for the educational programs, world center events and VIP groups
- Kitchen policies, procedures and protocols
- Development of the catering services and systems
- Staff responsibilities, schedules, recruitment and training
- Supplies, storage & inventory control
- Supervise kitchen equipment, maintenance and cleaning
- Budgeting and cost control
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- 8+ years of experience in catering and kitchen management
- Experience with planning and creating multiple menus
- Hands-on understanding of food hygiene & health and safety standards
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication, interpersonal & team working skills
- Ability to think on your feet and take initiative and remain calm under pressure
- Customer service attitude
- Administrative ability and IT literacy
- Fluent in English and Hebrew
- Certification in hospitality or culinary management is a plus
- Business or management studies is a plus
- Full time position in the Old City of Jerusalem
