This is a senior leadership role in optimizing the value of our current and future products. Working closely with Product Management, Sales & Customer Success and of course R&D. You will play a critical role in reinvigorating our R&D efforts and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. You will be responsible for defining the strategic direction, setting priorities, and executing initiatives to enhance our capabilities and drive product development. The position requires strong analytical skills, the ability to translate strategic vision into tactical action, identify the highest impact ideas and plans, and focus efforts to communicate recommendations effectively to senior executives.

Responsibilities:

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability. Define clear roles, responsibilities, and career paths for R&D team members.
• Develop and communicate a compelling vision for R&D that aligns with the company’s goals and mission. Create and execute a comprehensive R&D strategy to support product development and innovation.
• Oversee all R&D projects, ensuring they are on track, within budget, and meet quality standards. Implement project management best practices to optimize resource allocation and project execution.
• Identify emerging technologies and trends relevant to our industry and leverage them to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge. Foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the R&D team.
• Collaborate closely with other departments such as Product Management, Sales, Operations and Marketing to ensure alignment and integration of R&D efforts. Drive cross-functional communication and collaboration to ensure the success of projects.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness and impact of R&D activities. Regularly report progress and results to the executive team and stakeholders

Requirements:

• B.S.c in computer science or other relevant field
• 10+ years of working experience in an innovative technology environment
• Proven track record of successfully building and leading R&D teams.
• Experience building SaaS platforms from scratch, using modern cloud platform technologies
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Visionary leader with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Strong knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
• Demonstrated success in managing budgets and resources effectively.
• Hands on deep understanding of product, how it works and its architecture, demonstrate creative and innovative problem solving abilities
