HonestReporting is looking for a creative Junior Graphic Designer to join our editorial team in a full-time position. As a member of the editorial team, the Graphics Department is responsible for executing all editorial and events materials inspired by the organization's language, across all our editorial channels including web, mobile, social, email, and print. The ideal candidate is creative, self-motivated, and able to deliver quickly on multiple projects’ needs, and brings experience across multiple platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Senior Graphic Designer to develop and deliver creative digital and print design projects from start to finish to support the full range of the editorial team needs, including featured images for articles, web pages, email campaigns, social media ads, info-graphics, and printed materials (i.e. brochures, fundraising campaigns, etc.)
- Design creative promotional materials for our missions
- Drive excellence in quality, design, layout, color, typography, and brand consistency
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or recognized certification in Visual Communication or Graphic Design
- Not afraid to learn new systems to advance in skill
- Familiar with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign (or other equivalent program)
- Knowledge of preparing & closing print files
- Strong attention to detail, brand, and typography
- Team player who can receive and give feedback
- Multi-task several projects to meet deadlines and ability to work under pressure
- Self-starter, self-motivated, and ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge with HTML/CSS – advantage
- Experience managing social media business accounts - advantage
- Fluent in English and Hebrew
The position is fully based in either our Tel Aviv or Jerusalem office; may be asked to occasionally commute between the two.
