The Anglican International School, Jerusalem (AISJ) is seeking to appoint an experienced, highly qualified educator with a passion for life-long learning as Systems Administrator from August 2022. The Systems Administrator will be asked to work closely with staff and students across the school. The post will suit a candidate with energy, personal integrity, flexibility and the ability to work closely within a team, as well as fostering good relationships within a diverse community. The successful applicant will have the ability to work collegially within the ICT Team, under the guidance of the Director.

AISJ is accredited by the Middle States Association (MSA) and is an IB World School delivering the IB Middle Years and Diploma Programs. AISJ is a well-established and progressive international school in the heart of Jerusalem, catering for students aged two to 18 from the international and local communities. Approximately 75% of our student body comes from an international background, with the remaining 25% comprising local Jewish, Muslim and Christian students.

The post offers the opportunity to live and work at the epicentre of world politics and religion, in a city that is vibrant, diverse and enriched by many different cultures and faiths.

The successful applicants will meet the following criteria:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study (Systems Administration, IT, etc.) or Certificates in Systems Engineering (MCSE, CCNA, etc.)
  • Maintain flexibility and manage change effectively with colleagues.
  • Have an ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, and parents in a multicultural and frequently demanding environment, with a sensitivity to local cultural needs.
  • Be responsible for the efficient running of the schools systems.
  • Analyse and implement solutions for the system needs of the school.
  • Manage new programs that require integration with existing systems.

AISJ will expect the applicant to commit to a minimum of two years, as per local working visa requirements, with a yearly renewable contract in the first instance. Salary rates are commensurate with Israeli pay-scales.

For full details of the post, please visit the school website, www.aisj.co.il, or contact Mrs Pauline Franks, at [email protected]. All applicants for the post should submit a completed AISJ job application form (which can be found on the school website), as well as an up-to-date CV.

Closing date for applications: Friday April 1st 2022.
