Shivat Zion assists Olim from European and Latin-American countries in their Aliyah and Klita process (free of charge) and is looking for an outstanding individual that loves details, administrative work and numbers and is at the same time good at managing deadlines, teams and navigating Israeli bureaucracy.
In other words: we need someone with German management/pünktlichkeit and Israeli style out of the box thinking and making things happen.
The position will be partially from home and partially from the office in the Efrat area. Candidate will work in beginning as freelance and eventually possibly as employee as the organization grows. Need to have an Osek Patur/Osek Morshe (we can help with setting this up). Position can start with 20-25 hours weekly with possibility to full time from November. Good pay, according to skills and experience.
Duties include:
- Managing (back)office and administrative framework
- Content Creation: finding accurate solutions and answers to complex questions Olim have - this requires diving into Israeli bureaucracy, checking different sources and breaking it all down to a simple customer-friendly answer.
- Content Creation: exercising quality control on content mentioned earlier and formulating the content in such a way that it can be provided to other Olim dealing with the same issues.
- Assistance in managing the team of translators, proofreaders and customer service in 6 different languages
- Gathering performance data, writing short performance reports
- Scheduling/preparing meetings, minutes and managing deadlines
- Coordinating volunteers, host families and case management of special requests from Olim
- Managing volunteers, contact people and gatekeepers in Israel and abroad
- Saving, making available and implementing accrued knowledge
Must Haves (we’re not flexible on these):
- Enthusiasm, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude and having a natural affinition to mentioned duties
- Excellent English and Hebrew (including writing formal letters, translating and proofreading)
- Quick understanding how simple systems work (i.e. Salesforce, monday, Slack, office, Lucid etc.)
- Being very organized, accurate and on the ball (quick, alert, efficient and effective)
- Be passionate about Aliyah, Zionism, helping others and work together with colleagues from a broad spectrum of different cultures (European/Israeli/Latin American)
Nice-to-Haves:
- Knowledge of adjusting/programming Salesforce
- Experience with Social Media management (incl. Linkedin)
- Other languages, with emphasis on German and Russian
- Experience in a Private or Governmental Aliyah organization and/or working with Jewish communities abroad
