Title: Birthright Israel: Hillel coordinator
Time of position: About 6 weeks starting from the end of April
Description:
The position is mainly logistics to help manage our Birthright buses this summer. We are looking for someone who is computer proficient (Microsoft, G-suite, email), good at communicating, works well under pressure, and can keep lots of different projects together at the same time. Must have a valid drivers license for driving in Israel. Must have native level English speaking and writing, and also basic level Hebrew. Someone who has experience with Hillel or Birthright Israel is a huge plus, but not necessary. It is a great opportunity for anyone interested in the general educational tourism industry.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Inventory and distribution of materials
- Accompanying participants and staff to doctor, hospital, airport, and other potential appointments
- Shabbat: joining buses in their hotels, coordinating schedule and logistics, facilitating ceremonies and rituals
- Traveling to areas of the country where there are a lot of buses and setting up base there for a few days
- Serving as an extra bus staff when needed
