From the text of the exhibition by the artist, Etti Abergel:
"The exhibition 'What the Rain Brought' creates a space that captures an array of senses and sensations.
"In her vibrantly colored paintings, Avigail Fried embarks on an associative pictorial journey traversing a variety of painting disciplines and dialectics. The intermingling between opposites such as pain and beauty, wonder and hesitation, adoration and distress, reconcile amidst the many layers that shroud, reveal and again withdraw, until achieving culmination of the finished work.
"In this series, Avigail challenges the limits of the medium by diving deep into the substratum of painting. Sensuality on the one hand and broken poetics on the other sharpen the seam line between the idea and its disintegration."
