We are seeking a technical-experienced, dynamic, and client-focused Account Manager to join our high-tech company specializing in cutting-edge software and hardware solutions. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and growing relationships with our global clients in the critical infrastructure sector, ensuring their satisfaction and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Relationship Management:
a. Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
b. Understand clients, needs, challenges, and objectives to provide tailored solutions.
2. Account Growth:
a. Identify opportunities for account growth by introducing new offerings and expanding the scope of existing services.
b. Identify relevant RFPs and projects for our accounts and hand them over.
c. Manage and execute sophisticated pre-sales work for existing accounts.
d. Collaborate with clients to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
3. Client Retention:
a. Proactively address client concerns and challenges to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
b. Monitor and enhance the overall client experience.
4. Strategic Account Planning:
a. Develop and execute strategic account plans, outlining objectives, timelines, and collaborative initiatives that meet or exceed your KPIs.
b. Work closely with clients to align solutions with their long-term goals.
c. Effectively manage and prioritize the sales pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of potential deals.
d. Work daily with the company's CRM system.
5. Contract Renewals and Negotiation:
a. Lead contract renewal processes, negotiating terms and ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
b. Address contract-related queries and modifications.
6. Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
a. Develop accurate sales forecasts and regular reports on the sales performance of your accounts, presenting insights and recommendations to senior management.
7. Collaboration with Internal Teams:
a. Liaise with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
b. Work closely with clients to align solutions with their long-term goals.
8. Client Advocacy:
a. Act as a client advocate within the organization, ensuring that client feedback and
requirements are effectively communicated and addressed.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering with an MBA in a business or sales-related field.
2. Proven experience as an Account Manager for at least 7 years, preferably focusing on technically sophisticated hardware and software products/solutions.
3. Experience selling to the public sector (utilities) with long sales cycles.
4. Willingness to travel once per quarter globally (focus on South America & Europe).
5. Negotiation and problem-solving skills.
6. Result-driven and client-focused mindset.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in English. Spanish speakers
have a big plus.
8. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
9. Experience in IoT/wireless communication/telemetry/critical infrastructure (water) or environmental technologies is a big plus.
