Our development team is in search of a candidate to contribute and lead a small team to enhance and add to our suite of products, services and features with a can-do attitude who thrives in a fast-paced work environment and is highly motivated to deliver software to production.
What You Will Be Doing
* Leading a small team of developers
* Working closely with product managers on feature design
* Proposing and working with others on solution architectures
* Assigning tech requirements to team members
* Monitoring and owning deliverables
* Hands on development (50% or more)
* Code reviews when needed
* Working on projects such as enhancing existing, and creating new, frontend and backend subsystems for our internal and customer-facing portals, apps and Linux-based point of sale system, ranging from eCommerce, EDI and a CRM for store owners.
Required Skills & Experience
* Minimum 4-6 years of professional experience in a full-stack development role
* Minimum 2 years experience leading a development team
* Experience prioritizing roadmap projects while supporting previously deployed projects
* Professional experience with vue.js, calling and implementing APIs, HTML 3
* Professional experience with PHP or node.js for backend development
* Professional experience with SQL databases (preference PostgreSQL)
* Experience with distributed source code control
* Excellent English verbal and written communication skills including documenting data flow
* Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group: clients, executives, managers, and coworkers
Desired Skills & Experience
* Experience with github, Jira, node.js, Lubuntu
* Experience with PostgreSQL
* Experience with angular.js
* Experience with both PHP & node.js
* Working knowledge of Linux system administration
* Working knowledge of AWS services
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
