About you:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Royalty Operations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the music industry, and familiarity with accounting principles and computer systems, experience with complex data models and system workflows, and an intermediate proficiency in SQL. Additionally, a successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in financial management, and a thorough understanding of intellectual property rights and royalty distribution processes. The ability to work independently as well as coordinate with team members is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the calculation and distribution of music royalties to rights holders
Manage a team responsible for collecting and tracking royalty data, preparing financial reports, and reconciling accounts
Collaborate with operations and finance teams
Own your given area of responsibility, plan and execute work without supervision
Ensure accuracy and efficiency in royalty operations
Collaborate with team members to achieve goals
Continuously evaluate and improve existing systems and processes
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations
Requirements:
Strong familiarity with computer systems and data models
Intermediate proficiency in SQL
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
