If you are relentlessly curious and are passionate about discovering new applications for Cannabis. You are an expert in the primary methods of administration. You are proactive in researching and sharing insights regarding how cannabis actives interact with biological systems. You can lead an external team of researchers and research projects that can ultimately deliver an understanding of the unique effects and applications that can be safely delivered by cannabis actives, then this is the job for you!

What You’ll be doing:

As the Cannabis Actives Researcher you will discover, design, conduct and manage research on pharmacology of Cannabis plant actives and potential applications and fractions, interactions and effects, mechanisms of action, efficacy and bioavailability in various routes of administration, dosage and safety. You will manage internal and external research projects. Communicate and present results internally. Collaborate and support product development, research teams and business units. Maintain current understanding of new cannabinoid research. The ideal candidate is energetic, collaborative, and forward- thinking.

• Ability to function at a high level in a team setting whether leading the group or acting as an individual contributor
• Organized, self-motivated, able to multitask and deliver results with high attention to detail to help drive projects forward in a timely manner
• 
  You’ll need to have:
  
  • Minimum MSc with at least 8 years of research experience in the field of molecular/cell biology, physiology, toxicology or pharmacology or another relevant field
  • Deep understanding of drug delivery and Methods of Administration (Pulmonary, Oral and Topical)
  • Experience working in lab and utilizing scientific equipment with hands-on experience performing in vivo/in vitro studies
  • Background in program management, developing and managing KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
  • Advanced level experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
