Overview
We are looking for a vibrant dynamic person to fill the full-time position of a Paralegal who will be able to join our team assisting the attorneys in the preparation and submission of petitions and related tasks including:
- Drafting professional and accurate applications to be presented to US Embassies and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service on behalf of clients.
- Managing a caseload with differing and variable deadlines.
- Identify legal and practical issues associated with each case and the appropriate action to be taken at each stage, bearing in mind proposed timelines.
- Correspond in a professional manner with a range of clients and be able to manage client expectations by discussing matters on the phone and via email.
- Manage the entirety of cases as well as ‘ad hoc’ duties for any given matter.
- Write legally accurate letters summarizing complex legal principles in a clear manner.
- Create and update legal precedents for the firm including immigration questionnaires, general informative letters, and template support letters.
- Communicate between the SI legal team and client teams.
- Obtaining documentation from clients and meeting with them as necessary.
- Managing client documentation, ensuring that everything requested was provided.
- Filling out various types of visa application forms.
- Preparing exhibits, petitions, and application packages for submission.
- Dealing with application filing fees and scheduling visa interviews.
- Managing and updating documents in our immigration case management system.
- Coordination with outsourced suppliers and expense tracking.
- Helping with business development events (seminars, conferences)
- Updating social media platforms and company website.
General requirements/skills:
Bachelor’s degree in law or business administration.
- Fluent English speaker – advantage.
- Hebrew fluency (speaking and reading are most important).
- Highly detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to relate and communicate with clients and people at all levels.
- Faultless spelling and grammar.
- The ability to effectively prioritize and administer tasks as well as the flexibility to do occasional work outside of office hours.
- Be able to manage your own workload
Nice to have:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a law firm.
- Prior experience in immigration is a major advantage.
