Field Service Engineer - Kiryat Gat

FST Technical Services is looking for several Field Service Engineers for the semiconductor industry.  Several years’ experience is preferred, but all levels of FSE’s are encouraged to apply.  Come join an awesome team in an exciting industry!

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) is responsible for all aspects of system support for Tool Installation. The FSE will show self-confidence and work independently, as well as within a team, to maintain strong customer satisfaction.

This FSE position will require flexibility to changing work patterns, as well as mobility to support company-wide projects as required.  Significant international travel will be required, up to 70%.

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs on-site install, service and repair semiconductor processing equipment
  • Troubleshoots equipment problems; maintains records and reports as required; coordinates activities with peers, supervisor(s) and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions; orders and installs parts; responds to emergency service calls as required; and, instructs customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance
  • Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed
  • Remain current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials
  • Incumbents are responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and security of company property including vehicles, tools, etc.
  • Employees must also maintain standards of conduct acceptable to both employer and customers to maintain credentials for being on customer site(s)
  • Job duties are often performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions and/or in high places
  • Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds is required
  • Some positions may require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous element or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc.

Education/Experience Required:

  • Several years of experience advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree or more in one of the following fields: Mechanics; Electronics; Electricity; Optics; Electro-optics
  • Excellent English (Spoken & Written)
  • Independency (ability to follow procedures)
  • Must be precise in execution and documentation
  • Autodidact and the ability to question incorrect data

Work Environment:

  • Will be supervised by ITL – Install Tech Lead, Trainer, RS – Ramp Specialist, etc.
  • May require extensive travel – may be international
  • Work is in shift pattern (~12hrs shift, day/night)
  • Flexibility – ability to work any day of the week, changing shifts, in Israel/Ireland or abroad

Training:

  • All training needs will be provided by the company
  • Training will be comprised of theoretical training and On Job Training (OJT) – training may be at international locations
  • Trainees are expected to attend all training sessions and be able to carry independently the above-mentioned install sections after completion of 2 OJT’s
