Who are we?

“Chuppot” is part of “Hashgacha Pratit”, an independent rabbinic-Halachic organization. Our goal is to officiate wedding ceremonies for couples who seek to marry in accordance with Jewish law, but can not, or choose not, to do so via Israel’s Chief Rabbinate. Our team of professionals and rabbis work as full partners with each couple to build a personalized ceremony which recognizes their unique point of view and takes into account their personal needs and backgrounds .

Our belief is that every Jewish couple in Israel should be able to stand under the chuppa in accordance with Jewish law. Our organization is designed to allow freedom and responsible choices for those who are discriminated against by the Chief Rabbinate, which creates unnecessary, unreasonable, and unjustified difficulties for new immigrants, veteran Israelis, and converts to Judaism. All of our activities are done with absolute commitment to Halacha and within the boundaries of Orthodox Judaism.

We are looking for an exceptional partner to join our team and lead the field of fundraising in a small organization with a big impact on the future of Israeli society.

Requirements:

• English at mother-tongue level
• High-quality, persuasive, and data-based writing skills
• Experience in writing for fundraising
• Comfort in a technological work environment
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Identification with the organization’s activities
• Familiarity with the field of Israeli Judaism - an advantage
• Experience working with foundations/federations - an advantage

Areas of Responsibility:

• Writing grant proposals, applications, and reports and preparing related materials
• Researching and identifying suitable funding sources
• Marketing writing for the benefit of maintaining contact with existing and potential donors
• Building organizational processes in the field of donor relations

Immediate start of work. The position is subordinate to the CEO.
