Program Director

The Program Director will share our vision for highest quality and innovative education by independently developing creative programs, recruiting and supporting enthusiastic teachers, ensuring full enrollment and nurturing a strong sense of community.

Programs: English, Camps, Workshops, Library, Events and Friday Club

Position Overview

School Management

  • Responsible for all aspects of programming, including marketing, timely communication, administrative duties, staffing, student enrollment and retention and record keeping including petty cash, student files, etc.
  • Recruitment, hiring, and training of staff
  • Collaborate to develop long-range strategic and operational goals, along with a plan for implementation

Educational Programming

  • Write programs and curricula that develops an appreciation for the English language in the students utilizing knowledge of child development, developmentally appropriate curriculum, educational standards, and current research to guide instruction
  • Mentor teachers to establish a common approach to behavior management, time management, classroom organization and appearance, planning, teaching, and learning that reflects the school’s mission and educational philosophy
  • Develop and implement assessment tools and methods to ensure appropriate placement and progress toward achieving specific knowledge, skills, and understanding is measured

Position Specifics

  • Start Date: November 13, 2022
  • Hours: Full time. Present during all programming (afterschool, camp, Friday Club). Flexibility to work from home outside of programming time.
  • Starting Salary Range: 10,000-13,000

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree/qualification in Early Childhood Education, General Education or Special Education
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in curriculum development, or as a classroom teacher
  3. Knowledge of best practices in phonics education
  4. Demonstrated ability to manage a teaching team and to execute developmentally appropriate practice
  5. Experience in developing programs/lesson plans and differentiating to meet the needs of various abilities
  6. Demonstrated ability to interact, communicate, and build relationships with the community
