Project Database Coordinator and Grant Writer for the Projects Department
in the International Relations Division

Job Description:

The Yad Vashem International Relations Division is responsible for creating and fostering communities of support for Yad Vashem, as well as raising resources for Yad Vashem's ongoing activities and development. Through a professional team at Yad Vashem, and friends’ associations in various countries, the division works to cultivate partnerships and resources around the world.

The Projects Department is responsible for preparing a variety of materials that assist the fundraisers and friends’ associations with recruiting and maintaining donor relationships, including project proposals tailored to the various target audiences, proposals and reports to foundations and funding bodies, as well as various marketing materials to support fundraising abroad.

The Project Database Coordinator and Grant Writer is responsible for the project database, including managing projects, updating existing projects and their budgets, and writing new project proposals. In addition, tasks include writing and editing as needed for the department, and assistance with writing and producing marketing materials for the purpose of fund-raising.

The Position:

Managing and maintaining the projects database:

  • • Managing the project database, including updating project information in the CRM
  • • Working with all Yad Vashem departments, as well as International Relations division staff, to update the projects status, content and budgets
  • • Creating new project proposals
  • • Assisting with preparation and adaptation of project proposals for donors and foundations, as necessary
  • • Preparing presentations

Writing and/or translating information and content for target audiences

  • • Writing and editing materials in English for the various departments in the International Relations Division and Yad Vashem
  • • Translating from Hebrew to English
  • • General and administrative assistance to the department and the division as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • • High school education. BA degree - an advantage
  • • Native English-speaker, working knowledge of Hebrew
  • • Experience working in a relevant position - excellent writing skills and translation ability from Hebrew to English
  • • Proven experience working in a computerized environment
  • • Proficiency in additional languages - an advantage
  • • Knowledge of the history of the Holocaust - an advantage
  • • Proficiency with CRM technologies/applications - an advantage
  • • Works well under pressure, independantly and within a team
  • • Detail oriented
  • • Available for work during non-routine hours

Terms of Employment:

  • • Temporary full-time position, replacement for maternity leave
  • • Position type: Project Position, Level: 4
  • • Salary commensurate with Yad Vashem policy
  • • Start Date: Immediate
