Overview

Responsible for directly running, managing and monitoring the company’s e-commerce operations, including marketplaces and direct-to-consumer websites. Accountable for the ongoing maintenance, updates, development, and management of these platforms. Serve as a liaison and primary e-commerce point of contact within the organization for cross-functional partners acting as a project manager to evaluate, prioritize, develop, manage, implement, and test e-commerce initiatives. Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives.

Requirements

  • Hands-on self-starter from day one who is able to roll up sleeves and make things happen
  • Expertise in e-commerce best practices, usability, UX, IA, and funnel optimization
  • Extensive knowledge of current web technologies, site systems, and e-commerce technology, including leading e-commerce platforms. Preference to experience with BigCommerce
  • Proven ability to learn and implement differentiated platform-specific catalog requirements and best practices
  • Knowledgeable about sophisticated analytics tools, heat mapping, and reporting, including Google Analytics
  • Understanding of SEO concepts and terminology
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated individual who uses quantitative and qualitative data to drive decision-making
  • Configure and manage technical infrastructure and coordinate with development firms
  • Experience managing third party apps and relationships.
  • Able to handle complex situations with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, lean startup environment.
  • Proven acumen in business, analytics, logic, and creative problem solving
  • Growth- and team-oriented mindset collaborative
  • Experience with and knowledge of technologies, HTML, PHP, CSS, etc.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze site performance metrics, garner insights, and identify opportunities.
  • Work with customer service to track and troubleshoot bugs, as well as opportunities to improve the website experience.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate various e-commerce strategies to determine their effectiveness.
  • Provide strategic oversight and a strong business approach to managing existing systems and developing enhanced models for future events.
  • Identify new areas of e-commerce opportunity beyond current organizational thinking
