Nefesh B’Nefesh has opened an aliyah center in Tel Aviv, aimed to facilitate the absorption of new immigrants and assist "lone soldiers"— those in Israel without close family who can help them—in the county’s economic hub, the organization announced this week.
The Nefesh B'Nefesh Tel Aviv Center, located in the Azrieli Center Circular Tower, seeks to enhance the organization's core mission of facilitating aliyah by offering expanded programming for new immigrants, as well as employment and professional growth opportunities.
The new offices will also provide support for 3,500 lone soldiers from more than 70 countries who are serving in the IDF while their family remains abroad. In the wake of the 13-month-old war against Hamas in Gaza, the facility will include a resilience center, developed in partnership with Sheba Medical Center and the Friends of the IDF (FIDF), designed to offer mental health support for lone soldiers and their families.
The establishment of the office in Tel Aviv was made possible with the support of the Jewish National Fund-USA, FIDF and the Marcus Foundation.
The Nefesh B’Nefesh Aliyah Campus at Cinema City in Jerusalem opened three years ago.
Since its founding in 2002, Nefesh B’Nefesh has helped nearly 100,000 olim in Israel.
