Description of Role – WIP
We are looking for a Tax Preparer to provide essential tax preparation support for our new and existing clients. You will have the opportunity to help our clients navigate complex tax requirements and identify opportunities for optimization. Core Responsibilities
- Accurately enter previously filed tax returns of new clients into UltraTax to identify refund opportunities or errors, and track carry-forwards
- Create checklists for clients based on previous tax filings and current wage & income transcripts.
- Prepare current-year tax returns for complex individuals, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and identifying areas for optimization
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the tax preparation process.
- Collaborate effectively with the team to address client-specific needs and provide exceptional service.
- Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure consistent quality and adherence to deadlines.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Based
- Outstanding organization, follow-through, and written communication
- Comfortable with technology and willing to learn new software and skills
- Experience working with Notion, Slack, and UltraTax CS a plus
Requirements
- 5+ years tax experience
- 2+ years experience preparing returns in UltraTax CS
