Monday to Friday Israel Hours and Sundays during busy seasons
Job Description
Tax Accountant is responsible for submitting tax forms on behalf of clients to pay the appropriate amount and maximize the client’s return. Your duties will include interviewing clients about their income and expenses, auditing account details and acting as a liaison between clients and the IRS.
Tax Accountant perform many accounting, customer service and organizational tasks to help maintain the financial health of their clients or employer.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Informing clients on the tax preparation process
- Collecting relevant financial records, including pay stubs and income statements
- Inputting data from financial records into tax return software or databases
- Using applicable federal, state and local tax law to determine deductions and how much each client will pay or earn on the return
- Completing and filing tax documents with appropriate agencies, like the IRS, state and local government entities
- Acting as a representative for clients with applicable agencies as required
- Building customer relationships to promote and expand the business
- Preparation of Individual, Corporate and Partnership tax returns
- Prepare account analysis and assist with the preparation and reporting of financial statements to Management
- Completes audit work papers and performs audit testing procedures on audit areas fundamental to the financial statements.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, required.
Three to six years in general or public accounting is required.
Three to six years of tax experience is required
Experience within public or private organizations with Auditing experience is a plus
CPA required
