JOBOPP: Seeking part time aide for an elderly lady in Bayit Vegan.
Our grandmother lives at Nofei Yerushalayim in Bayit VeGan (next door to the Shalom Hotel). She has a very clear mind but frail body (some difficulty hearing and seeing) but is mobile and walks with a walker. We have a few helpers who come in at different shifts and help her with different things, and are looking to add some more helpers.
Her helper needs to speak good, clear English, be extremely punctual, neat and dependable, be kind and caring, be very patient and have experience working with the elderly, be able to take direction and also to work independently. To work in the building, the worker must have a tav yarok as well.
We're looking for someone to do 2 to 4 nights a week from 5 or 6 to 8 - Dinner and getting ready for bed. Plus 2 to 3 afternoons a week starting from 12 or 12:30 and going to 4 or 5 - lunch and some form of entertainment (game puzzle reading to her or going out to the porch). There is also some flexibility of other hours as well. In general, the job is to be a companion, help her when she needs, and generally help make sure she is safe and stable when walking.
