An online version and/or social media is being considered.
In part due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the Arizona Jewish Post announced that would end its print publication at the end of the month.
The Jewish Community Federation of Southern Arizona, which owns and operates the newspaper, announced the closure last week via email.
The 75-year-old paper, run by executive editor Phyllis Braun, covered the Jewish population of Tucson and southern Arizona, which numbers about 20,000.
Contributing to the end of the hard-copy edition were, like other Jewish newspapers across North America, losses in ad revenue, demographics and a declining readership, and an overall lessening of financial support.
Federation is in the process of determining how area Jewish news will be now distributed once the last issue prints on March 1. An online version and/or social media is being considered.
