Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our team and oversee the culinary operations for a community of 100 individuals. The Chef will be responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking two meals per day, ensuring the highest quality of food, and managing the kitchen staff efficiently. The ideal candidate should possess excellent culinary skills, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for creating delicious and nutritious meals.
Responsibilities:
1. Menu Planning: Develop weekly menus that cater to a diverse range of tastes and dietary requirements, ensuring variety and nutritional balance.
2. Food Preparation: Oversee the preparation of ingredients and cooking of meals in accordance with established recipes and portion sizes.
3. Ordering and Inventory Management: Maintain inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies, placing orders as needed to ensure freshness and availability of ingredients.
4. Kitchen Management: Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and kitchen assistants, to ensure smooth operations and adherence to food safety standards.
5. Quality Control: Ensure that all meals meet high standards of taste, presentation, and nutritional value, and address any feedback or concerns from residents or staff promptly.
6. Cost Management: Work within budgetary constraints to minimize food waste and control food costs without compromising on quality.
7. Hygiene and Safety: Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
8. Collaboration: Collaborate with the team and ensure dietary needs are taken care off.
9. Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation practices.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Chef in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a residential or institutional setting.
2. Experience cooking a high volume of meals
3. Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
4. Excellent culinary skills and creativity in menu planning and meal preparation.
5. Ability to multi-task and delegate tasks as needed.
6. Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Flexibility to accommodate changing dietary needs or preferences.
9. Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
10. A passion for food and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Additional Information:
- This is a full-time position requiring flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays.
- ILS 10,000 per month - Candidates must have an Osek Patur
