IDF strikes Gazan suspects collecting drone
The Israeli Air Force on Wednesday struck several individuals in the Gaza Strip who were attempting to collect a drone that had been flown into the enclave from Israeli territory, the IDF said.
Israeli forces have recently identified several attempts to smuggle weapons into Gaza using UAVs, the military added.
The IDF "will not tolerate any terrorist activity and will continue to act as necessary to ensure the security of Israeli citizens," the statement continued.
Last week, the IAF targeted two terrorists collecting a drone that was flown into southern Gaza from Israel. According to Palestinian reports, one person was killed and one wounded in the strike.
On Feb. 2, an IDF drone strike targeted a suspicious vehicle moving north from central Gaza in violation of the inspection requirement of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire agreement.
“The IDF reiterates its call for Gaza residents to follow its instructions and to avoid approaching deployed forces in the area,” said the military at the time.
