The Jerusalem Post, Israel's oldest and largest English daily newspaper, is hiring for the role of Breaking News Writer.
Breaking News Writers are those that are in control of all that happens on JPost.com. That means writing breaking news articles, uploading reporter articles onto our website, editing pieces, placing them on and off the home page, as well as posting on our social media platforms. It's an excellent job for journalists-in-training, and it operates 24/7, meaning we're looking for people with a flexible level of availability to work the normal and the odd hours.
The position is available for both part- and full-time employment (3-5 work days/week).
Requirements:
- Based in Jerusalem or can regularly commute to the city
- Fluent in English - a must
- Hebrew at a conversational level at least
- Familiar with Israeli news and affairs
- Adept at using social media (Facebook, Twitter)
