Arc 28: the IAWE Literary Journal Call for Submissions

The Israel Association for Writers in English

Second Call for Submissions

Hello writers,

This is our second call for submissions to arc 28 – a reminder for those intending to submit and an invitation to those who may not have received the first call.

The theme for arc 28 is “The Kiss”.

The deadline is September 1st, 2020.

Remember that this theme can relate to many different possibilities – a branch tapping against a window; hands reaching out to each other; a physical kiss, two beams meeting in a favorite barn, or a metaphor… What does it mean to you?

We want innovative, rich language that makes us sit up and take note! So send us your best work, we’re looking forward to it!

Guidelines:

·One or two poems, no longer than 150 lines in all, or prose of no more than 1,500 words, together with your name and contact details all in a single file in Word format, and email to: [email protected]

·Do not send more than one file.

·Please use Times New Roman, font 12, single spacing for poems and double spacing for prose.

·If your work has already been published, we ask you to include details of publication so we can acknowledge them.

Contributors retain copyright and may also republish. We ask only that if the poem is currently unpublished, you acknowledge that it first appeared in arc. The editors may not necessarily accept any particular contribution and their decision is final.

Take good care of yourselves,

Noel Canin & Michael Kagan

Editors of arc 28
