Role Summary
The role of the Operations Director or Head of Operations (HOO) will take operational responsibility for a number of our markets in Africa and Israel. The role is a key member of the leadership team and you will work with the other Directors or SMT to ensure that OLIVER continues to deliver successfully. You will be partner with Country, Client and Creative leads to help ensure the smooth running of their business areas. You will be responsible for improving the overall businesses operational effectiveness and efficiency of the business ensuring that you are controlling cost and optimizing margin.

You will also have responsibility for all OLIVER operations throughout the region.

Initially this will largely be an implementation and change management role as new structures, processes and procedures need to be built, thus the initial minimum FTC 6 months period. Upon successfully achieving the agreed KPIs this role would then be extended or made permanent.
Key responsibilities

  • Leading change management activities and projects focused on business transformation, new services and implementing new initiatives in these areas.
  • Proactively looking for ways of improving profitability and ensuring business grows in a sustainable way.
  • Drive optimal performance through operational discipline and rigor, ensuring the highest levels of productivity are achieved and maintained. Ensure resource plans are dynamic, frequently reviewed, and aimed at maximizing billable time.
  • Working with country, client and creative leads to translate the long term mission into tangible work streams and ensuring that strategic objectives are met.
  • Manage a network of suppliers with procurement and other depts and drive appropriate commercial relationships.
  • Overseeing all operations across the business to identify synergies, issues and potential blockers; lead discipline and improve operational efficiency
  • To ensure that we have best in class, simple process that works for the delivery of all types of work across all countries
  • Good understanding of all the key functional areas, sound judgment and decision making skills with strong commercial acumen and experience of leading successful negotiations with senior decision makers
  • Collaborating, communicating and building strong working relationships with the key stakeholders in the business
  • Successfully manage the cost ratio of the business

required Experience
Senior Operations experience preferably in a creative / digital agency or production environment

Track record of overseeing operations to drive operational efficiency in a rapidly growing organization

Brilliant people skills but with the ability to cut through the complexity and drive change

You are a confident doer – this is a sleeves rolled up role. Your focus will be around getting the job done

Required work experience:

· Relevant agency work experience at senior management level

· Previous demonstrable experience of success in change management in an agency environment

· Evidence of cost management and commercial acumen

Contract length: 6 months
