Job: Chief Dental Officer (CDO) or Lead Hygienist – Mobile Dental Practice
Location: Har Hotzvim
Hours: 4 hours/day 5 pm – 9 pm or 6 pm – 9 pm
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Chief Dental Officer (CDO) or an experienced Lead Hygienist to oversee the clinical operations and leadership of our mobile dental practice. This is a leadership role responsible for overseeing a team of Dentists and Treatment Coordinators, ensuring seamless patient scheduling, treatment coordination, and overall clinical efficiency. The CDO or Lead Hygienist will play a critical role in managing clinical workflows, optimizing patient care, and bridging the gap between clinical and administrative teams.
This individual will be responsible for establishing best practices, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols, and guiding the team of Dentists and Treatment Coordinators to enhance efficiency, patient outcomes, and overall clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership & Oversight:
- Establish and enforce clinical protocols, guidelines, and best practices for treatment planning, ensuring consistent and high-quality patient care.
- Provide clinical oversight and mentorship to Dentists and Treatment Coordinators, ensuring adherence to ethical and evidence-based dentistry.
- Oversee treatment planning and ensure alignment with best practices and patient needs, including guidance on hygiene-related treatment plans and patient education.
- Conduct regular audits of clinical documentation and treatment plans for accuracy, compliance, and completeness.
Operations & Compliance:
- Oversee and manage a team of Dentists and Treatment Coordinators to ensure smooth patient scheduling and treatment coordination.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop strategies for optimizing clinical workflows and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including infection control, patient safety, and billing requirements.
- Oversee the implementation and adoption of new clinical technologies and techniques to enhance patient care.
- Work closely with the revenue cycle management team to ensure proper coding and documentation for insurance reimbursements.
Provider Training & Development:
- Lead ongoing clinical education and staff development programs for dentists, hygienists, treatment coordinators, and schedulers.
- Serve as a resource for providers on complex cases, offering expert advice and second opinions when needed.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, professional development, and continuous learning.
Patient Advocacy & Quality Assurance:
- Monitor patient outcomes, satisfaction, and feedback to identify areas for improvement in clinical care and scheduling efficiency.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient experiences and treatment success rates.
- Address and resolve clinical and administrative concerns, complaints, or escalations in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications & Experience:
- DDS, DMD, or RDH (Registered Dental Hygienist) with extensive clinical and leadership experience.
- Proven experience managing and overseeing treatment coordinators and scheduling teams.
- Active dental or dental hygiene license in Virginia, Pennsylvania, or Ohio (or eligibility to obtain).
- Minimum 7+ years of clinical experience, including leadership or administrative roles.
- Strong background in treatment planning, case management, and evidence-based dentistry.
- Experience in mobile dentistry, public health dentistry, or senior care settings is a plus.
- Knowledge of dental insurance policies, billing, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a commitment to patient-centered care.
